I get what you're saying, but I think people forget how chaotic that situation actually was. like it wasn’t just a peaceful protest at all times. the government probably felt they had to act quickly
^ but acting “quickly” doesn’t mean ignoring rights though. That’s the whole point people are making. If they can do it once, what stops them next time?
