Exactly. There’s a human cost here. AI shouldn’t be a free pass for layoffs. The debate should be about responsible implementation, not just efficiency and profits. Governments and labor unions need to set boundaries, companies can’t just experiment with AI at human expense.
And that’s why we need regulation. AI is not inherently evil, but corporate greed can make it destructive. There should be limits: for example, a company can integrate AI to enhance productivity but can’t reduce headcount without proper compensation, retraining, or alternative roles. Otherwise, it’s exploitation.
